Mark sent the following pictures:
This is a good example of how to provide Southeastern Ornamental with measurements of an open tread stairway.
with a drawing like this we can provide complete auto CAD drawings of the proposed railings. I will post our drawings once his customer decides on a design. This railing is to be pretty basic.

Peter Bruce ordered stainless steel cable railings for his home. He and I collaborated back and forth many times to make sure that his stair railing build dimensions were accurate. I sent him AutoCAD drawings to show how the railings were to be built. The AutoCAD details provided to Peter allowed him to make the adjustments necessary for www.southeasternornamental.com to build his railings exactly as he intended. We shipped the railings to him a few days ago and just received his reply, below:
“Bobby –
I just wanted to say that the stainless steel stair railing you sent us looks fantastic! All the extra measuring did its job, it arrived in good condition, and it now looks great. Let me know if you want a photo.
Peter
P.S. I am now interested in a wrought iron outdoor gate – I will look at your web site for a design type, and start the process.”
We are awaiting photos….

Thanks Peter Bruce for your business and the photos.

We delivered a complete wrought iron stair railing with a wood hand cap today to the Lepp Residence. Their iron stair rail consists of a hand forged design with brass rosettes and decorative newel posts. We also fabricated a custom iron gate to compliment their stair railing. We will post photos on our web site http://www.southeasternornamental.com once we receive the pictures from the customer.
A note from the customer:
Hi Beckie and Bobby,
Installation went well with total customer
satisfaction. Of course, it took seven strong
men to lift the balcony railing in place but
once in the fit was perfect.
On the landing where the wood cap met the wall,
I had to remove the 3/4" block as well as the
second landing block but aside from that, all
went well and Mr. Lepp is very happy with the results.

Once again, thanks to both of you for all your help,
assistance and communication skills.
Looking forward to working with you again.
Joe
